London Based Skinkers Raises $16 Million

29 October 2007 · Leave a Comment

London based Skinkers has raised US$16 Million in series B funding. The lead investor was Acacia Capital Partners. Both The Guardian and TechCrunch give more details on the funding.

London or the UK is also host to a number of other interesting players in the online “Web2.0 video space” - which is making it (London) look like a cluster for this type of technology and innovation. The other companies that spring to mind that are enjoying a lot of hype are of course Joost and Blinkx (well HQ is SF, but there tech team is mainly in the UK I believe and the stock listing is AIM). Others in include: Testcard TV and Friction TV.
