Business Book Reading List – Top Picks for ‘07

17 December 2007 · 2 Comments

Well time to add some fuel to the Christmas madness by listing my top business books for 2007. I recommend all of these for that last minute shopping spree or that hard to shop for person on your list – please be sure use the links below as this is part of my social media-affiliate marketing experiment. :-)

  1. Options by Fake Steve Jobs – totally side split-tingly hilarious!
  2. Wikinomics – a paradigm shift for business and collaboration on-line.
  3. The Search – John Battelle’s instant business classic.
  4. The Long Tail – This one by Chris Anderson should be on your book shelf right next The Search
  5. 4 Hour Work Week – I haven’t read it yet, but I like the sound of it and will be buying this week.
  6. Quirkology by Richard Wiseman – this one really makes you think about things from a different angle.
  7. P.J. O’Rourke’s meditation on The Wealth of Nations – its good, I am still digesting this one.
  8. Getting Things Done – we can all benefit from being more efficient. I like this simple approach from management guru David Allen – GTD, baby.
  9. 300 Beers To Try Before You Die – enough business, time to relax. The title says it all – trust me buy it.
  10. Buying Property in Portugal – its winter up here in Northern Europe and I always start thinking about warmer places. This is on my shopping list! :-)

I hope you have found this list helpful or a least not annoying. The normal tone of this blog will resume shortly.

Hi, Chrissy – thanks for that tip. Sounds potentially interesting, but perhaps a bit out of the mainstream. Hey at least you’re getting some viral marketing via my blog. Happy Holidays! :-)
