I found this article in yesterday’s online NYT very interesting. I can see the Microsoft vs. Google story being one of the big on-going saga’s for the rest of this decade at a minimum. This may have been the year of Facebook (ie, 2007) but the naughties have been the decade of Google so far. With the acquisition spree by both GOOG and MSFT the battle field is being reshaped. Here’s a small excerpt from the piece:
The growing confrontation between Google and Microsoft promises to be an epic business battle. It is likely to shape the prosperity and progress of both companies, and also inform how consumers and corporations work, shop, communicate and go about their digital lives.
I think G v M or M v G may have to become a new tag…
