I am not anti-Google. I love Google. However, I do think we need a variety of search engines and stronger alternatives to Google. So, thanks to Alt Seatch Engines and The New Media Journal I am reproducing this list of alternatives search engines below. Why not try one out?!

Great suggestion!
I would like even to say more - for example in Russia Google still between number 2 and 3 inspite of all advertisement and launching of local officies.
And it is one of the evidences - if national search engine is enough good, users don’t want to change it even for Google.
Even more - at the same time when Google and Microsoft are just talking about Yahoo perspectives, Russian major system Yandex already started moving in Europe

Thanks for that Pavel. Yandex is great example of a strong country specific search engine! And its good to hear they are starting to expand outside of Russia.
